Valpo Velvet offers several solutions for events both large and small (50-5,000+ attendees). The options detailed below are each staffed by Valpo Velvet employees. If you're interested in a more DIY approach check out our rental options.
Our events season kicks off in April and runs through late December however you may contact us year-round to discuss your event's details and schedule the solution that best suits your needs.
ICE CREAM TRUCKS
Introduced in 2009, our mobile fleet has been a huge success. Each truck arrives with a VV team member who will happily serve your guests.
Event Location:
We service events within a 15-mile radius of 57 Monroe Street in Valparaiso. Events located 15–30 miles away will incur a $100 travel fee. For events beyond 30 miles, please contact us to discuss availability and pricing.
Rental Price:
1 Hour Event $250 + minimum of 35 servings + tax
2 hour Event $450 + minimum of 50 servings + tax
Additional Hours: $100 per hour + servings that exceed minimum
Ice Cream Price:
$4 + tax for single scoops
Optional $2 upcharge per serving for double scoops
18% gratuity will be added to the serving total
*If you are interested in renting the truck with a full menu (Shakes, Novelties, Floats, Blended Drinks) please inquire.
Deposit:
Payment may be made in full at the time of booking, or a $250 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. The deposit will be applied to your final balance.
Payment may be made by cash or check. A 3.5% processing fee will be added for credit card payments.
Scoops PARTY
Our most popular option and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser! A VV team member will scoop your choice of ice cream flavors and serve them in cups, sugar cones, or cake cones. This option includes 2 available ice cream flavors (please inquire for additional flavors), napkins, spoons, cups, and a tablecloth.

VINTAGE SUNDAE BAR
We bring the nostalgia to you with our old-fashioned sundae bar! Enjoy your choice of two ice cream flavors, plus the following toppings: chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, strawberry topping, pecans, sprinkles, and crushed Oreo cookies. We’ll also include whipped cream and cherries—because no classic sundae is complete without them. Please let us know about any allergies in advance, and we’ll be happy to substitute toppings as needed.
